Hi, I Am Sean!
Midwest Inspect was built on one simple principle: when you’re making one of the biggest investments of your life, you deserve clarity, confidence, and straight answers.
My name is Sean Evans, and I am a licensed home inspector with extensive hands-on experience in construction oversight and property evaluation. I completed comprehensive inspection training and continue ongoing education to stay current with building standards, safety practices, and industry best practices.
Before launching Midwest Inspect, I served as a Superintendent for a large residential rental company, where I managed renovation projects, performed detailed property inspections, coordinated contractors, and ensured homes met strict quality and safety standards before residents moved in. That real-world experience gave me a deep understanding of how homes are built, how systems interact, and where issues commonly develop.
I have evaluated hundreds of properties across the Midwest — from older homes to new construction — inspecting roofing systems, structure, electrical panels, plumbing, HVAC equipment, grading, drainage, and more. I understand how Illinois weather impacts homes over time, and I know where to look for hidden concerns.
But thorough inspections are only part of the job. Communication matters just as much.
I take time to explain findings in clear, practical language so clients understand what is significant, what is routine maintenance, and what may require further evaluation. My goal is not to alarm — it’s to inform.
Outside of inspections, I’m a husband and father who values hard work, honesty, and treating people the right way. I approach every home as if my own family were moving into it.
Midwest Inspect is independent, detailed, and client-focused. I work for you — not the transaction.
When you hire Midwest Inspect, you’re getting more than a report. You’re getting experienced eyes, practical insight, and an advocate committed to helping you make a confident decision.
